Art Galleries and Formula One Racing in Malaysia
Travis was just being his career as an art historian. Some of his business minded friends really had no idea what that meant, though two of them, Steve and John were happy to go with him on a trip to Malaysia when he said he wanted to do some research there. Having all recently graduated from college, Steve and John were fortunate that they had gained employment in sound businesses. Steve was working as an accounts manager and John had an entry level position as a purchase consultant. Travis, however, was still working part time at the museum he worked at through college. He was having a slightly more difficult time finding full time work, though he grandmother had given him a little money to pursue his art interests.
He had also just recently decided that he was going to go back to school and further his education. He wanted to go to Berkeley and thought his trip to Malaysia would help him to write a paper that would improve his candidacy status. Steve and John were happy to go along, though the trip was simply going to be for fun and adventure for the two of them. The three of them stayed at one of the luxury Malaysia hotels and had great views from their rooms. They visited the museums in Kuala Lumpur and had lunch at the Hard Rock Café. Steve and John were interested in some of the nightclubs they found, and they spent there evenings in places like the Luna Bar, Rum Jungle and the Beach Club while most nights Travis stayed in to write.
One day Travis went back to the National Art Gallery of Malaysia and spent time at the National Library, which neighbors it. While he did this Steve and John spent the day at Sepang International Circuit where they watched some incredible formula one racing. All three of them had a great time during the trip and while they had been friends since they were children, both Steve and John wondered how Travis could be satisfied hanging out in the library all day when there was so much to do and see. They didn’t worry about it long though, instead they headed over to a small café at the Central Market and had some food and a bottle of wine.
